Investigation Guidelines
Two person team: Teams of two investigators will follow these primary guidelines to conduct and document a professional investigation.
First of all, immediately activate digital recorder/s
-It is crucial to document the first and last few minutes of an investigation. This is when Spirits are more inclined to verbally interact with either of the investigators.
Then, after both investigators have all equipment in order, activate the Ghost Box in close proximity to a digital recorder.
- For best results the recorder should remain between 1-2 feet away from the Ghost box, with the mic pointing to the speaker.
Next, Investigator 1 will document the base EMF in a notebook, with attention to EMF emitters. While this is taking place, Investigator 2 will take photos of the area.
- Small rooms generally require a minimum of 2 photos.
- Regular sized rooms for the most part require a minimum of 4 photos.
- Larger rooms ordinarily require a minimum of 6 photos. Both investigators are responsible for communicating with the Spirits through the Ghost Box at this time.
After base EMF is documented by Investigator 1, he/she proceeds to take photos of the area. Investigator 2 will proceed to document the base temperature readings in a notebook. Both investigators are responsible for communicating with the Spirits through the Ghost Box at this time.
After both investigators are done taking photos and have recorded both base EMF and temperature readings they must report the base readings to central command for official documentation.
Finally both investigators will perform an EVP session using the Ghost Box, then concluding with five to ten minutes of a traditional EVP session to complete the sweep.
